AA TRAVEL GUIDES

Complementary to Star Grading is the AA Quality Assured Programme for Accommodation. This programme is also based on a visit by a trained assessor and is based very much on evaluating the guest experience. Establishments are assigned a category depending on the kind of experience they offer their guests. See list of categories below.

WIthin each category establishments that meet minimum requirements are awarded the status AA Recommended, those with higher levels of professionalism and attention to detail in decor and service achieve the rating "Highly Recommended" while those offering the highest levels of service and guest comfort in pristine surroundings are rated as AA Superior.

Establishments who are members of this programme tend to receive far more repeat and referral business which leads to a much more solid tourism business.

Establishments who are serious about building their businesses should enter the AA Quality Assured Accommodation Programme of which programme B 'n B Sure has been a sponsor for the past 10 years. The categories for the Awards and the AA Quality Assured Accommodation Programme are currently being harmonised. The next national awards evening takes place next August / September in Johannesburg, the night before the start of the Getaway show in Johannesburg.
